If you're in the market for a 40 megapixel camera, but also happen to be a fan of Italian sports cars (and have £19,000 burning a hole in your pocket) this could be for you.

Hasselblad have officially launched the Ferrari-branded edition of their H4D camera which was first announced at Photokina.

Limited to just 499 cameras world-wide, the Hasselblad H4D Ferrari is said to be targeted at users "who appreciate the innovation, quality and design that symbolize both brands."

Priced at £19,000 the camera comes in a glass display box, is finished in Ferrari "Rosso Fuoco" and has the famous "Cavallino Rampante" horse logo on the side.

For people more interested in its photographic pedigree, the H4D has the 40 megapixel medium format sensor you'd expect along with Hasselblad True Focus and a 80mm lens.

A spokesperson for Hasselblad said: "At first glance, sports cars and cameras may not seem to have that much in common.

"But with Hasselblad and Ferrari, two worldwide renowned companies born from the singular passions of two very unique men, there is a great deal of common ground. A passion for quality, for design, and for performance."
