I came across iHeartFaces recently and LOVE their site!  They do exactly what the name says-capture images just about faces! Faces tell such a story so it is amazing to watch others share their images and be able to try and create a vision of what the face is saying!

Not a topic I enjoy writing about here at Cool Photo Ideas, but being an animal lover I know how important our pets are in our lives and how losing a pet is just like losing a family member.

I have 2 dogs myself and I know they won't be with me forever, but I know when it is time to let them go I will want to remember them in a special way! I came across a great site recently that really allows a grieving "pet parent" many photo options for memorializing their pets.

Cool Photo Ideas was meant to be an e-zine about all the great photo ideas, resources and gift ideas you could find, but we quickly realized that we were getting a lot of visitors looking for specific products or ideas. Hence, the directory was created!

I recently had the opportunity to take part in a review for a great new kids website call Little Passports. I know a little off the photo topic, but still a part of memory keeping and I wanted to be able to stress the importance of "keeping" memories for my daughter and this was the perfect opportunity to show her how to keep track of places she has been, collecting memorabilia and storing images and postcards!

Blended Families are sometimes tough to unite. One day you are two separate families, and after a brief marriage ceremony, a few bites of cake the next thing you know, you’re considered one family. Well- at least on the outside.

It’s difficult for adults and kids to get used to the newly blended family- new step-parents, new step-siblings, and new home- quite a lot of changes in a short time. By using photography and scrapbooking, you can creatively begin merging your family into one unit.

Well, today I am celebrating my 38th birthday and I have to say I have the best husband in the world who surprised me this morning with the lens I have been lusting over for months! I cannot wait to get home to try it out!

And as we begin gearing up for our busiest season of the year, we are going to need some help! This is our first year offering outdoor sessions and in the true Expressions Photo way, we want to be different! We are actively searching for new and unique locations to have our sessions. Once we have our locations narrowed down, we will need to do some test sessions to make sure these locations will be all that we imagined!

So, if you are interested in being one of our test sessions, please review the following details:

-This test session will be for (2) children-children must be 5 or under.
-Location to be determined, must be willing to go to location we choose will be within the Middletown or Freehold area
-Session will take place late August -must be a weekday
-Must allow 1-1.5 hours for the session
-Must be willing to allow us creative freedom and be open to new ideas
-No purchase is required
